Years ago I felt an empty spot in my heart. After returning from in Spain and Mexico, a casual word or two in Spanish at the local Mexican restaurant just isn’t enough. I wanted to help Hispanics in their need for recovery. Then the owner of the Taco Loco came by and shared that he needed help with a friend who has become an alcoholic. My immediate response was to offer to host a Recuperación de Vida (Recovery for Life) program in his restaurant. A new ministry was born. 8:00 a.m. on Thursday mornings.
